Bramblewick is a gem of a guesthouse set in the heart of
the ancient North Yorkshire seaport of Whitby, a short walk to
the sea, harbour, museums, shops and restaurants.
We offer high quality, non smoking B&B accommodation with
delightful en-suite rooms, a cosy lounge, separate dining room
and extensive breakfast menu including fish from a smokery
across the harbour.
Bramblewick is an ideal base from which to explore the
heritage-rich streets on foot - the ruined splendour of the
cliff-top abbey is about as far away as you can get, but only
15 minutes stroll. You can also easily venture into the nearby
North Yorkshire Moors by car, train and bus, experiencing the
breathtaking views, the villages from the famous Heartbeat TV
series, the nostalgia of the North Yorkshire Moors steam
railway and the unspoilt valleys.
Parking is usually no problem even though we are at the centre
of this historic town. We have some space on the forecourt,
free parking on the roads around us and a large
pay-and-display a couple of streets away.
Access to Bramblewick is via twelve stone steps with a hand rail on both
sides. We provide parking for up to 4 cars on our forecourt
which is operated on a non reservable basis. All nearby street
parking is free and there is a pay and display car park a few
minutes walk away.
Upon entering the
building the dining room and guest lounge are situated
immediately on the left and right of the hallway.
Bedrooms are over
three floors and are not suitable for wheelchair access.
